Klasztor Sióstr Zmartwychwstanek w Stryszawie-Siwcówce

Klasztor został wybudowany w 1929 roku u podnóża szczytu Jałowiec (1111 m.n.p.m.).

Grunt przekazała Katarzyna Siwiec.

Siostry Zmartwychwstanki początkowo pomagały dziewczętom otrzymać solidne wychowanie i zdobyć zawód, ale otworzyły świetlice, w której pomagały potrzebującym. Władze komunistyczne zakazały dalszej działalności. U jego stóp w górskiej dolinie leży wieś Stryszawa.

W niewielkim przysiółku Siwcówka na stokach góry znajduje się Klasztor Sióstr Zmartwychwstanek.

Wielokrotnie przyjeżdżał tutaj na wakacje prymas Polski, kardynał Stefan Wyszyński

w klasztorze mieści się izba pamięci poświęcona Prymasowi Tysiąclecia).

W tym górskim zaciszu odwiedzał go często jako biskup i kardynał Karol Wojtyła. Pamiątką tych spotkań jest pomnik przy zielonym szlaku z Siwcówki w stronę głównego grzbietu Pasma Jałowieckiego.

Pamiątkowy krzyż i obelisk poświęcony wycieczkom obu hierarchów jest położony na wierzchołku Jałowca (1111 m n.p.m.), który wspólnie zdobywali.

Monastery of the Resurrectionist Sisters in Stryszawa-Siwcówka
The monastery was built in 1929 at the foot of the peak Jałowiec (1111 meters above sea level).

Initially the Sisters of the Resurrection helped girls to receive a solid education and acquire a profession, but they also opened a day care center where they helped the needy.
The communist authorities forbade further activities. 
At its foot, in a mountain valley, lies the village of Stryszawa.
In a small hamlet called Siwcówka on the slopes of the mountain there is a convent of the Resurrectionist Sisters.
Many times the primate of Poland, cardinal Stefan Wyszyński, came here on vacation.
In the monastery there is a memorial chamber dedicated to the Primate of the Millennium).
In this mountain retreat he was often visited as a bishop and cardinal Charles Wojtyła.

The reminder of these meetings is a monument by the green trail from Siwcówka towards the main ridge of the Jałowiec Range.

Commemorative cross and obelisk dedicated to the trips of both hierarchs is located on the top of Jałowiec (1111 m), which they conquered together.
