Palmiarnia w Zielonej Górze

Palmiarnia stoi na szczycie Wzgórza Winnego i stanowi jeden z najbardziej charakterystycznych i znanych miejsc w Zielonej Górze. Winiarnia zakończyła swoją działalność na przełomie XIX i XX wieku. W 1961 roku na tyłach dawnej winiarni wybudowano szklarnię, w której zostały posadzone palmy, a także otwarto kawiarnię.

To miejsce stało się bardzo popularne i wymaga powiększenia, dlatego też w 1967 roku, ze względu na cenne okazy roślin, obudowano starą szklarnię nową konstrukcją. Nowa Palmiarnia z wielkimi tarasami widokowymi po przebudowie była gotowa w 2008 roku. Główne wejście dobudowano od strony ul. Zarugiewicza.

Obecnie Palmiarnia nie pełni już swej roli w takiej formie jak dawniej, przepiękna roślinność została, ale we wnętrzach urządzono restaurację, która może się poszczycić unikatową scenerią. Jest to największa restauracja w mieście. Wnętrza można zwiedzać bezpłatnie, podobnie jak taras widokowy.

The Palm House in Zielona Góra

Palm House stands on top of the Vineyard Hill, it’s one of the most distinctive and famous places in Zielona Góra.  It rises around the former home of winemaker August Grempler founded in 1818. The winery ceased its activities at the turn of the 20th century. In 1961 a greenhouse was built at the back of the former winery, where palm trees were planted, and a café was opened. This place has become very popular and needs to be enlarged. In 1967, due to the valuable plant specimens, the old greenhouse was enclosed with a new structure, after the construction was completed. The situation repeated itself in 2006 when the valuable date palm tree grew above the roof. The new Palm House with its large observation decks was ready in 2008 after reconstruction. The main entrance was added from Zarugiewicza Street.

Nowadays, the Palm House no longer performs its role in the same form as before, the beautiful plants have remained, but the interiors have been converted into a restaurant, which boasts a unique scenery. This is a biggest restaurant in the city. The interiors can be visited free of charge as well as a view terrace.
