Darłowo jest uroczą miejscowością usytuowaną w bliskiej odległości od ujścia rzeki Wieprzy do morza. Miasteczko posiada ciekawe zabytki, zdrowotny mikroklimat, 20 km szerokich plaż oraz nieskażone środowisko naturalne. Pierwsze wzmianki na temat miejscowości wywodzą się z XI w., ludność trudniła się wtedy rybołówstwem, żeglarstwem, tkactwem. Prawa miejskie zostały przyznane z początkiem czternastego wieku, co nasiliło rozrost Darłowa, a także pozwoliło na wybudowanie zamku książęcego w połowie XIV wieku. Obecnie ten średniowieczny zamek książęcy jest dostępny do oglądania i pełni rolę muzeum, warto go odwiedzić. Na zamku można obejrzeć prezentacje stałe i ekspozycje czasowe. Ponadto z zabytkowych budynków koniecznie trzeba wymienić kościoły: Mariacki, św. Gertrudy, św. Jerzego, a także Kamienną Bramę - ślad obwarowań grodzkich. Najsłynniejsza dzielnica Darłowa - Darłówko znajduje się nad samym Bałtykiem. W Darłówku działa port przeładunkowy, rybacki i turystyczny. Przy wschodniej części nabrzeża stoją statki wycieczkowe oferujące turystom wycieczki po morzu. Obok wejścia do portu znajduje się latarnia morska, która usytuowana jest przy ujściu rzeki Wieprzy. Obecna wysokość latarni to 22 metry, na jej szczycie znajduje się nowoczesny mechanizm wskazujący drogę statkom. Dziś turyści mogą podziwiać stan z 1927 roku, wtedy miał miejsce ostatni remont budynku który polegał na podwyższeniu wieży o jeszcze jedną kondygnację.

Z góry można podziwiać przepiękny widok na morze, kołobrzeski port wojenny, handlowy oraz panoramę miasta.

Darłowo

Darłowo is a lovely city situated a short distance from the mouth of the Wieprza River to the sea. Darłowo offers magnificent monuments, a healthy microclimate, 20 km of wide beaches and unpolluted natural environment. The beauty of Darłowo attracts crowds of visitors every year. The first mention of the village dates back to the 11th century, when the people were engaged in fishing, sailing and weaving. City rights were granted at the beginning of the fourteenth century, which intensified the growth of Darłowo and allowed for the construction of the duke's castle in the middle of the fourteenth century. Today the medieval ducal castle is open for viewing and serves as a museum. The castle features permanent presentations and temporary exhibitions. From the monumental buildings it’s necessary to mention: St. Mary's Church,

St. Gertrude's Church, St. George's Church and also the Stone Gate - a trace of the city fortifications. The most famous district of Darłowo - Darłówko is located right on the Baltic Sea. In Darłówek there is a transshipment, fishing and tourist port. Cruise ships stand at the eastern side of the wharf offering sea tours to tourists.

There is a lighthouse next to the harbor entrance. Darłowo Lighthouse is located at the mouth of the Wieprza River. The current height of the lighthouse is 22 metres, on her top there is a modern mechanism to show the way to ships.Today tourists can admire the state of 1927, when the last renovation of the building took place, which consisted in raising the tower by one more storey.From the top you can admire the beautiful view of the sea, Kołobrzeg's war port, trade port and the panorama of the city.
