Muzeum Zamkowe w Malborku

Muzeum Zamkowe w Malborku powstało 1 stycznia 1961 roku.

Jego główną siedzibą jest pokrzyżacki zamek w Malborku, w 1997 r. został wpisany na światową listę zabytków kultury UNESCO.

Muzeum prowadzi działalność naukową w zakresie archeologii Dolnego Powiśla oraz historii sztuki i kultury Prus Królewskich, głównie w oparciu o posiadane zbiory. Do zadań malborskiej placówki należy gromadzenie, zabezpieczanie, naukowe opracowanie i udostępnianie dzieł dawnej i współczesnej sztuki.

Zbiory są systematycznie wzbogacane, co przyniosło efekt w postaci około 50 tysięcy muzealiów.

Muzeum jest ważnym centrum kultury i nauki.

Muzeum prowadzi działalność w zakresie archeologii, historii i historii sztuki.

Obecnie w ogólnej liczbie ponad 50 tysięcy eksponatów mieści się kolekcja średniowiecznych elementów architektonicznych, unikatowy w skali światowej zbiór artystycznych wyrobów z bursztynu, efektowny zestaw dawnej broni i uzbrojenia, bogata kolekcja numizmatów.

Celem działalności kulturalnej Muzeum Zamkowego jest organizowanie wystaw związanych z historią zamku i Krzyżaków i rozmaitych koncertów, prezentacji, imprez i widowisk plenerowych.

Zamek jest obecnie siedzibą ośrodka muzealnego, który ściąga każdego roku ponad półmilionową rzeszę turystów z całego świata.

Jest miejscem spotkań ludzi nauki i kultury, dziennikarzy i polityków, jest plenerem nowo powstających filmów i odbywających się często koncertów.

Oddziałami Muzeum Zamkowego są: Zamek w Kwidzynie od 1972 r. i Zamek w Sztumie od 2018 r.

The Castle Museum in Malbork was established on 1 January 1961.

Its main seat is the Teutonic Knights castle in Malbork, which in 1997 was entered on the UNESCO world list of cultural monuments.

The museum conducts scientific activities in the field of archaeology of the Lower Powiśle and the history of art and culture of Royal Prussia, mainly based on its collections.

The tasks of the Malbork institution include collecting, protecting, scientific elaboration and making available works of ancient and contemporary art.

The collections are systematically enriched, which resulted in about 50 thousand museum items.

The Museum is an important center of culture and science.

The Museum is active in the fields of archaeology, history and art history.

At present, in the total number of over 50 thousand exhibits, there is a collection of medieval architectural elements, a collection

of artistic amber products, unique in the world, an impressive set of old weapons and armament, a rich collection of numismatic items.

The aim of the Castle Museum's cultural activities is to organise exhibitions connected with the history of the castle and the Teutonic Knights as well as various concerts, presentations, events and open-air shows.

The castle is currently the seat of a museum center which attracts over half a million tourists from all over the world every year.

It is a meeting place for people of science and culture, journalists and politicians, it is also an open air stage for newly made films and concerts which are often held here.

The branches of the Castle Museum are: Kwidzyn Castle since 1972 and Sztum Castle since 2018.
