Podziemia Rynku w Krakowie
Muzeum Historyczne Miasta Kraków znajduje się na wschodniej części płyty Rynku Głównego, powierzchnia wynosi ponad 6 tys. m². Pierwsze prace pod ziemią rozpoczęły się w połowie 2005 roku i koszt całej inwestycji wyniósł ok. 38 mln zł, a otwarcie odbyło się 24 września 2010 roku. W podziemiach znajduje się zarówno stała, ale również czasowa ekspozycja. Stała ekspozycja zatytułowana jest Śladem Europejskiej Tożsamości Krakowa i udostępniono ją 3 dni po otwarciu. Jest też multimedialne widowisko czyli podróże w czasie, w której można poczuć atmosferę panującą na średniowiecznym rynku. W czasie zwiedzania turystom towarzyszą odgłosy gwaru targu albo też płonących zabudowań.
Underground of the Market Square in Cracow
The Historical Museum of the City of Cracow is located on the eastern part of the Market Square, the area is over 6 thousand square meters. First works underground began in mid 2005 and the cost of the whole investment was about 38 million zł, and the opening was held on 24 September 2010. The underground contains both permanent and temporary exhibitions. The permanent exhibition is entitled Traces of the European Identity of Cracow and was made available 3 days after the opening.
There is also a multimedia show or time travel, in which you can feel the atmosphere of the medieval market square. During the tour tourists are accompanied by the sounds of the bustling market or burning buildings.
